Personal Development
Students at Reading School participate in a broad program of Personal Development that builds on the Reading Way Character Framework and our Learn - Lead - Serve narrative.
Three of the key components are:
1 -The Elective Program which take place daily as a part of the taught curriculum and in which all students in Year 7-10 participate.
2 -Co-curricular Activities which run both during and after school and which we would encourage all students to take part in.
3 -Educational Visits which run all year round, but which also include Belonging Weeks for all students in Years 7-10.1
As an ACE Kite Mark Plus School, students also take part in a taught character curriculum. As such all students in Years 7-11 take part in taught Floreat lessons and activities.
Students in Years 11-13 also contribute to and lead Future Stories activities extending opportunity to students in primary schools across Reading.
