School

Reading School, a selective state day and boarding academy for boys aged 11-18, has been educating boys since 1125. Our vision for Reading School is that, by 2025, we will be a flourishing world-leading institution developing academic excellence and building good men; a powerhouse of sustained high performance, advancing knowledge, and championing character through our expertise and partnerships. We will enrich the intellectual, sporting, artistic and cultural life of our students for the benefit of society. We will provide an exceptional environment where a lifelong love of learning is strengthened by the values of excellence, integrity, leadership, and community. These values are at the core of the distinctive holistic approach to our curriculum, called “The Reading Way”, one for which we are restless in the pursuit of improvement.
