Meals for our NHS staff at the Royal Berkshire Hospital
Serving over 150 meals a day... Now join in with the RS Bake-Off #RSCares
Yesterday Reading School and its catering team began providing a lunch service to NHS staff at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, led by Dominic Taylor, Chief Operating Officer. Beef curry and vegetarian curry were on the menu serving over 150 meals. Meals will be served daily to those working at the frontline at the RBH three times a day.
We are thankful for the community spirit and the additional Reading School volunteers who are helping to deliver this service.
So far we have provided over 190 meals to children of NHS staff and key workers.
As the days and weeks seem to be rolling into one Reading School is introducing Tea, Coffee & Cake Day Friday for the NHS Staff and volunteers to be served every Friday from 11am to 4pm at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
You can support this ongoing event by baking some cakes or biscuits at home or by donating bought ones. It would be appreciated if any large cakes could be individually wrapped and any containing nuts are clearly marked.
Cakes can be dropped to Reading School Reception every Thursday between 10am to 4pm, ideally in recyclable boxes or tins clearly marked so they can be collected at a later stage.
We want to say a huge thank you to the NHS staff for their incredible work and this goes some way to provide some light relief either at the beginning, during or end of a long shift.
Let the RS Bake-off begin…
