Reading School and The Royal Berkshire Hospital working together
Over the weekend work began on setting up the ‘NHS Village’ at Reading School, which will provide 40 accommodation units for NHS staff at a time of national crisis.
Led by the Chief Operations Officer, Dominic Taylor our partnership with the Royal Berkshire Hospital is going from strength to strength. We have been neighbours of the RBH since the school moved to the Erleigh Road site in 1870. Now is undoubtedly the time to put our core value of community in to action, like never before.
I am so proud that the Reading School community are fully committed to supporting the heroes and heroines of the NHS.
Thank you to the Reading School family for your spirit of compassion and community.
Thank you RBH and all NHS critical workers for your care so that lives are saved.
Today, I am pleased to inform you that we are also supporting the children of critical workers in the NHS at St Luke’s Church by working with Harrisons, our caterers, to provide lunch. Pasta is on the menu today. Thank you to Estates Bursar, Jonathan Roberts on coordinating today's lunch session.
On Friday, we launched our Future Stories Support Fund and I am very grateful to those that have generously donated or signed up to volunteer.
Please give as little or as much as you can, all donations go some way to supporting those that most need it during this crisis and beyond.

We will get through this. Look after each other. Stay at home as much as possible. Social distancing saves lives.
