School closed Friday 2nd March

Dear Parents, Staff and Students,

Thursday 1st March
School will remain open as normal until 3.25pm.  Over 95% of teaching staff are in school and approximately 800 students.  We are very pleased to have had a productive day.  All after school activities have been cancelled including the Year 11 Parents’ Evening and CCF. 

Friday 2nd March
Due to potential deterioration in travel conditions as a result of freezing temperatures overnight, I am making the decision to close Reading School on Friday 2nd March.  School will re-open on Monday 5th March.

Boarding Parents
Boarders are welcome to travel home this afternoon after the end of school, or on Friday 2nd March.  Indeed, if necessary, they may travel home on Saturday morning.  Please could all boarding parents communicate directly with the respective Housemaster and Matron by email confirming your intentions.
