Teams
We set most of our homework on Teams. It’s a great way of keeping (almost) everything in one place. Some homework will be set in person so it is still a good idea to write all homework in your planner.

Please find a YouTube video guide to Teams. You will receive an ICT induction on your first day in September where you will be given a login and your Teams account will be set up. This video is just to give you an idea of what Teams is like as a student, if you haven’t used it before.

This video suggests downloading the Teams app to your smart phone. Whilst you are welcome to do this and it may help you keep track of notifications, it is not required by Reading School.

School Day
All lower school students are required to be in their first lesson by 8.20 am.  A student is considered late if he arrives after 8.25 am.  This will result in a late mark being recorded in the register.

Each lesson is 45 minutes, with 5 minutes for travelling in-between lessons.

Planner

For lots of you, using a planner will be a new concept. Here is a short video of one of our Y7 planners in action this year. There’s lots of information inside the planner and it’s the best way of making sure you are organised and ready for lessons each day. Remember, we run a two-week timetable so you will need to check what week we are on before you pack your back in the evening.
