Reading School Prevent Strategy
Using the Prevent Self-Assessment tool, Reading School has four priorities for the Prevent Duty
Develop and understand risk assessment for Prevent, including contexutal safegarding risks (inc. online) and confidence levels of staff & governors |
Develop, inform and practice lockdown procedures |
Curriculum review of Prevent issues, focussing on History, PSHE, English, Drama, Art to allow understanding of student's exposure to issues |
Development of extra-curriculum map for PDP to encompass all additional opportunities for encounters with Prevent issues eg. PSHE, tutor-time curriculum, and look at these through two separate lenses: one whole academic year, and a Y7-13 journey |
DSL to complete new training on Home Office website: Prevent awareness, Prevent referrals, Channel awareness |
